How Our Team Navigates Complexity to Compliance
The Spark of Innovation
With the growing demand for information security compliance, our co-founder and CEO, Mirek Pijanowski, was tasked with building a trusted compliance program for a global financial firm. Initially managing compliance to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 with manual processes and mega spreadsheets, Mirek soon realized the limitations — overwhelming, lacking cohesion, and far from scalable.
Driven by a passion for innovation, Mirek embarked on a mission to find an easy-to-use and scalable GRC solution. However, the landscape of dedicated GRC tools presented a frustrating obstacle. Confusing, labour-intensive, and financially unattainable for many teams, these overly complex tools hindered, rather than supported compliance efforts. Mirek needed a better way to streamline processes and achieve compliance excellence.

Undeterred by these challenges, Paul Guenette, CTO, teamed up with Mirek to take matters into their own hands. In 2015, Mirek & Paul founded StandardFusion with one clear mission: to create a cost-effective, easy-to-use, and scalable platform that enables organizations to build trust among their stakeholders, customers, partners, and employees.
By leveraging modern technology and their deep understanding of compliance requirements, they created an intuitive platform that integrates all aspects of GRC in a user-friendly model.
